Sorry but we couldn't extend the broom at first. I had to get my husband to work on it because I couldn't get him to move. After struggling with it, he eventually lengthened it. I have a broom about 3ft high now, or if I try to lengthen it the floor falls off immediately! The brush is exactly what I wanted! However, it is not very large for sweeping the kitchen. I really should have sent it back but I threw away the packaging it arrived in. Basically, to me it's nothing but a waste of money unless I can find something to keep it from falling apart.
