Review on Camera Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX50 by Boyan Bankov (IamLax ᠌

Nice price, good quality.

Finally, I upgraded from my Canon 350d SLR and Canon SX150 tiny camera. With my new camera, I can take pictures of any sport with ease thanks to its tiny size, stylish zoom, lightning-quick autofocus, lightning-fast shooting, and high-speed continuous photography. Well, now you can take handheld, tripod-free shots of nighttime cityscapes at ISO 3200-6400 (and in some cases, depending on the plot, even 12800)! A completely silent image at ISO 3200, just like a cropped DSLR. Here are some shots taken with a high ISO setting:

Pros
  • It's remarkable that such a little body can house a 24-700mm lens. A "soap box" camera, which can shoot at ISO800 and up to ISO3200 with only slightly more noise than "reflex" cameras, has finally made its debut. However, even at 6400 ISO, this "soap box" produces a superior image to that of my ancient Canon 350d.
Cons
  • You can't adjust the jeep's compression ratio and there isn't enough RAW. The menu seems hastily put together, with important features buried deep within. Getting to them requires a lot of "kneading the buttons" out of habit.
