So far the pants have kept me dry in the rain. The waterproof lining only goes to the top of the calf, I wear tall ADV waterproof boots so this is not a problem for me but might be a problem for others. They are quite comfortable, I wear them over armored kevlar pants or sometimes just regular jeans and they work well as over pants. The waistband has elastic and Velcro so it's versatile depending on what you're wearing. They are not too warm, under 50F. It would be nice if the waterproof lining had quilted insulation sewn to it. That being said, they block the wind pretty well so they don't necessarily get cold. I only need to wear 2 pairs of thermals under my jeans when riding at 40F or below. Also note that these are not summer shorts, even with the vents open, and the shorts underneath get pretty hot above 80°F, especially if you're not moving fast. On an extended summer trip, I didn't put them on until the sun went down and temperatures reached 70F and below. Overall I don't think you can beat the value you get. Good workmanship, many small features and a good price. I'm considering buying a second pair as a spare.
