TLDR: Pyrex is my go-to choice for microwave, dishwasher, and ovenware (glass, not lids) to store leftovers or baked goods. I had no problems with a cracked lid or dishes. I bought Pyrex and Anchor products nine years ago and most of the Anchor caps are cracked, none of the Pyrex caps are cracked so I might be lucky but I only buy Pyrex now. __________ I use them to freeze food for cooking. I also bought four packs for my brother as a housewarming gift when he moved in and gave them frozen food so he had a meal choice that didn't require any mess or work for the next few weeks. You have enough space to cook. for 2-3 meals depending on how full you fill them, so very good for sharing for two or for one to eat and save leftovers for the next day. I make casseroles, manicotti, patties frozen in gravy, etc. When baking frozen dishes, I've never had a problem taking them out of the freezer and putting them straight in the oven, but I usually wait to turn the oven on until it's done that's it (and add 10 minutes to the timer). In this case, I recommend letting it thaw on the counter for five minutes and rubbing the lid with a warm hand to soften the plastic before removing it. Plastic gets a lot more brittle when it's cold and you don't want to damage it. However, if possible, thaw the dish in the refrigerator for several hours (up to 24 hours) before baking. An oven freezer is not ideal and can break the dish. Also, I sometimes use them when baking desserts that require an 8x8 inch pan. They're a little smaller than these, but if you like extra thick brownies or lemon bars, this works great and you have a lid to put on for freshness.
