Review on Skechers Afterburn πŸ‘Ÿ Strike Lace-Up Men's Sneakers by Bryan Reed

After replacing the memory foam insoles, I like them.

I like the style and the fact that they are very wide. The main downside is the memory foam insoles that are used in many running shoes these days. Since memory foam is short-lived, maybe companies are selling more shoes? Whatever the cause, my bad experience with memory foam insoles led me to conclude that memory foam works well in mattresses, but when your full weight is on your feet, it shrinks all the way to the bottom and ends up only staying there a few months without leaving any depreciation. And since it is not a durable material, it breaks quickly. Although Sketchers uses strong glue to hold them in place, the glue doesn't cover the entire bottom of the insole and they can be removed if you weren't wearing shoes. If you take out the insoles VERY slowly and carefully, they will come out in about an hour. If you stretch them too quickly, they tear and pieces of polystyrene stick to the floor. I replaced my $30 Spenco Total Support insoles and now the shoe is not only firm, not soft, but has good cushioning and arch support.
