For some reason, many modern scuba snorkels, particularly those sold with children's scuba masks, have oddly curved curves that cause the snorkel to lie along the curve of the head. This brings them closer to the water, causing unexpected filling, and also makes them difficult to clean completely. They also tend to be made out of hard plastic, which can make them uncomfortable. With this tube, none of that is a problem. The traditional design keeps the open end higher and the minimal creases make it easy to clean. The silicone mouthpiece and semi-flexible hose are very comfortable and won't cut into your head like some plastic hoses. And the price is very reasonable. I recommend this snorkel to both new and experienced divers.
