Note that this only works on beds with flat mattresses without a box spring.

Poorly made, very difficult to fit casters underneath. The height is too low to work with medium beds. This is shown in the photos that come with the beds but this is misleading. Even when trying a bed with no pillows and a low profile box spring, the height was MUCH too low to use. So keep in mind that this item honestly only fits on short sofas or chairs. Very disappointed as I bought two to use in bed at night with laptops. One comes back unopened. The other will likely end up in the garage as it's too heavy to take apart to repackage for a refund. Anyone who buys this because of the "medical" term in the description will be disappointed. I was caring for an elderly parent and knew from experience that this table would be virtually useless if bought for someone who is bedridden.
