A big improvement over the stock A-pillar tweeter. The stem was 8 ohms and made in China. So a simple 3 ohm connection helped bring the soundstage to life. I had a song that I like with good vocals. With the new tweets, I can hear reverbs in the vocals that I couldn't hear on stock. I took out the old tweeter and machined the bearing position about 1/8" from all sides. The tweeter is installed in a threaded swivel mount. I installed the speaker by tightening the threads in the drilled hole. The support nut did not fit, because the strut was too tight inside. So I skipped over the mounting threads and hot glued it on. Works fine and looks good IMHO. My truck has a GREEN wire and a PURPLE GREEN wire. Your GREEN wire should - and your PURPLE/GREEN should + his. It was the first step. I have 4 6x8's for the doors. Then I'd like to see what a two din HUD would do for those tweeters. They sound warm, rich and clear to my ears. YMMV
