A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.
Because of its versatility, I used it with my crop-sensor EOS 60D: When you look at the sample shot, you see that it has crisp details, vibrant colors, and a shutter speed of 1/20 of a second (!) when shot handed. (For instance, the 50mm f/1.4 at 1/80 frequently blurs.) Typically, f/2.8 Snapshots for the test: fotki.
Pros
- Excellent color reproduction and contrast; Highly handy stabilizer; Razor-sharp at F/2.8 (!); - No XA detected at F/2.8; There is nothing to criticize about the construction; everything is tidy and easy to understand. Beautiful bokeh (circles, not nuts); Excellent macro (I'm impressed); Three distance switches (convenient, and the lens focuses rapidly); Heavy hood: on the one hand, a protective cover cannot be placed over the lens without first removing the hood; on the other hand, the lens is well protected from splashes, dust, and so like. The appropriateness of the cost.
Cons
- This lens has a very small depth of field when set at f/2.8 due to its construction.
