Review on Black Ops BB Conversion Kit: Effortlessly Transition from American to Euro, in Sleek Black by Jay Chowdhury

Helped in an emergency! cycling

I recently used an old Schwinn frame on a cheap and battered build. It was clear from the start that this old American grip was going to be a problem. Luckily a friend introduced me to this product and now I'm a convert (that's all for terrible puns, I swear). Installation was difficult, but not impossible. I sanded down the inside of the tube to get a nice clean fit. They recommend using a press to install this part, but since I didn't have one, I used screws to clamp the part instead, which ended up working better. The process was: 1) Position the inserts opposite each other in the tube 2) Screw in the supplied screws (make sure the holes of the inserts line up as much as possible) 3) Slowly tighten each of the screws (I used 4 turns (at I know it will take forever but it's worth it in the end. If this thing gets stuck too much it's game over and a blowtorch will come by to try and get it out) 4) Once the converter is fully installed , you can get started. After installation I put in a standard European grip and that was it. . I have never had a problem with a product and every time someone sees it they want to know more about it. I haven't seen big differences between products from different manufacturers. I chose this one because it was cheap. I would highly recommend this piece to anyone looking to upgrade their old American style grip. That works great!
