I took measurements on my 4.5 year old who is below average and bought a 3T set based on those measurements. It fits my skinny son perfectly! The waist of the pants was a little tight but all lengths were perfect. The material of the pants is thin but there is a silk lining so you can't see anything through. It's linen, so it creases easily. Just iron and you're good to go!
