First I bought this device because the description said it would work below 32 degrees (other devices don't work). I live in the North East and have only known if this is true for a few months, but at least one person has confirmed that it is. I will contact you about this! Second, I had to plug the camera into a remote part of the garden with partial/partial sun/shade and no access to an outside AC outlet. The camera receives limited traffic from people, animals and cars. After 18 days on the job I'm confident enough in the device to leave it all winter to see if it holds up. However, due to its location and limited sunlight, performance is unpredictable - I guess that's to be expected. Some days the camera loses a few % charge, some days it dies and some days it gains a few % charge. Overall, the camera started at 91% on day 1 and 95% on day 18. I learned a few things from Google and Arlo's website. The panel should face south. The recommended panel angle depends on the time of year and your location. My panel is now almost complete. In the video settings for your camera there are 3 options: better video, optimized and longer battery life - better battery life seems to be the only way. A longer cable is definitely useful, but I could have used a longer one! Let's see what happens in winter.
