Review on πŸ”§ Liftmaster 41c4220a Gear and Sprocket Kit: Perfect Replacement for Craftsman & Chamberlain Chain Drive Models by Kenneth Wood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's easy, but check out the videos available!

Fast delivery and good price. My opener broke down one day and thanks to a one day delivery from Revain Prime my opener was fixed and ready to use the next day! The video link provided and a few others on YouTube made the repair a success. I suggest you take photos of the details you will be filming before you start. The kit comes with all the parts, but I didn't have to replace the worm gear. This is further complicated if required by the 2 blue Loctite set screws in the snap ring holding them onto the motor shaft. Luckily, the worm gear doesn't usually fail! Wear rubber gloves as the old black silicone grease and the new will coat your hands and everything you touch! My opener uses a chain guide (10+ years old) not shown in the video. I still have this part (senior moment) and couldn't find my original instructions with photos of the parts. The model numbers on my opener cover many models without this protection. Finally I found my guide on the net with the help of google and after 10 minutes everything is fine. Next time take pictures while I go! You will likely change where the opening and closing stops as the chain is removed. No problem, but then you'll need to adjust the open and close stop setting. Make sure your garage door is unchained and make the first adjustments without jamming the door up or down! Plug the door in and make final minor stop adjustments. After several raising and lowering operations of the door, check the chain tension. They need to sag a bit, but don't stretch the guitar string! However, don't lose enough to hang past the main rail!
