We had problems with our 2 year old Samsung TV; We got code '7' when trying to change channels or sources, or it didn't respond at all. Also, a red light flickered in the bottom right corner of the TV. We eventually determined that the problem was with the remote, not the TV, and the new batteries didn't help. We ordered this replacement remote and it is identical to the one that came with the TV when it was new and it worked straight away. What I particularly appreciate (as I'm not tech savvy) is that no pairing was required. Simply insert the batteries, point it at the TV and it's on: problem solved!
