I can't say enough good things about these headphones. I am very hard of hearing and always have to crank the TV up full to hear the program I'm watching. This drives my husband insane because he can hear my TV upstairs while he watches whatever he wants downstairs. He is endowed with excellent hearing and it is difficult for him to understand why I need such a high volume. I was looking for headphones that would actually fit me. This is absolutely amazing. I feel like I'm hearing things I've never heard before, like background music and special effects. The list of advantages is very long: 1. They are cordless and rechargeable, which is a big plus as there are no cables to drag around the room.2. The sound quality is fantastic. Now I can even hear surround sound.3. This headset is infrared powered, so there is no interference with radios, cordless phones, etc.4. They are easy to connect and fit any TV. I made it myself and am not familiar with such things.5. There is a volume control directly on the headset, which you can use to set the desired volume. What's particularly nice is that the TV volume works independently of the headphone volume, so you can set up the headset separately and two people can watch the same TV program and adjust the show to their perfect volume for each. This is a really big advantage.7. I'm still working on my first battery charge so I don't know how long the batteries will last before I need to charge the headset. They say about 15 hours. I've never watched so much TV at once. The transmitter and headset have an on/off switch, so simply turn them off when not in use.9. The transmitter and headphones work up to 33 feet, according to the manufacturer, but you have to be in direct line with the transmitter or you'll hear a buzz. This isn't a problem when you're watching TV or a movie because you won't be distracted by the program.10. They're also almost noise-cancelling, but not quite. Cons: 1. I can only think of one thing. They have soft ear pads, but they do press a little on your ears if you wear them for several hours. I think you'll like it when you're yelled at all the time to turn down the volume. Enjoy TV, movies and music without disturbing everyone in your home. They're also said to work with hearing aids, which is another plus. All I can say is that I wish I had found her many years ago. This is one of the best purchases I've ever made.
