I bought this radio in December 2016 to take with me on my winter holiday trips. I was looking for a lightweight radio with good FM reception and the ability to play MP3 music from either Sansa MP3 players (I use two) or a USB stick. Let's look at the weight. Bare radio weight 1 lb 14.5 oz. External power adapter (included) weighs 12.5 ounces. Total weight is 2lb 11oz. A set of 4 "D" batteries weighs 1 lb 3.7 oz. Total weight with batteries is 3 lb 2.2 oz. I use it with batteries for better portability. The manufacturer says a set of D-type batteries should last 170 hours, which is pretty good. The FM section works great, with good sensitivity and selectivity. There are no problems here. The sound quality is better than I would have expected from a 3" mono speaker with a small voice coil. It works fairly well with my MP3 players with no issues. The USB playback feature is quite cumbersome and needs more work. It doesn't even compare to the My Chevy's USB capabilities.Much easier with MP3 players.Wish they were lighter and ran on AA batteries.I like the white body which contrasts with the all black radios we usually see.
