I live in California where the sun is hot and I can't always keep my kid in the garage. I needed a cover to protect the paint from UV rays while it was outside. This case is made of soft fabric and if your rough and strong hand will tear it. The rest isn't bad if it doesn't stick to sharp objects. I bought my first budget suitcase in January 2012. 22 months later I buy a second one. For the last 6 months it has been outside and on my car EVERY DAY during the summer months. The UV rays attacked the fabric but not my car. So for 50 euros I'm satisfied. In terms of water repellency, our car gets wet when it rains, when there is a heavy dew it gets a little wet, but the coating dries quickly, so I'm not worried.
