This is definitely true, fits perfectly and the filter is the same thickness as the original what it should be, great quality. I almost bought the ones that were in the $6 range but sometimes you get what you pay for and someone said they weren't as thick as the real thing! Spend a few bucks more and buy this one, it fits, works and is made to perfection! And if you need a hepa post filter buy a real dyson sold here even better quality than the original it has an extra rubber o ring on the side not just permanently glued to the bottom buy it these not cheaper the ones that have a split o-ring, the ledge they rest on is very narrow where it can slide when installing non-glued plug-ins, not worth it! Oh and by the way, don't wash the pre-filter with soap and water like Dyson says, it ruined my original one, it shrunk so I had to use that one, just take it out when it's dirty, use another Vacuum cleaner with suction hose. by itself without any attachment and drag and drop the dirty part, it's that easy.
