Turns my stove into a much needed extra work surface

My old stove is getting a lot less use with the advent of the pressure cooker and convection oven/fryer. I really like it when this bamboo surface can be placed directly onto the burners. It's not that difficult to remove and hide on the side of the stove when you need the burners and you can use the stove without removing it. I've found it's pretty easy to adjust the position of the legs to put out the burners. My stove has five burners, four round and one long extra burner in the middle so I needed the largest size to cover it. It just fits. I didn't have any oil and really wanted to use it, but I had a very good quality furniture wax, so I applied a few coats to it and rubbed it in well. Yes, there were a few small shards and after picking up one of these I quickly realized I needed to use a few layers of polishing cloth. I received a fairly well protected surface and it was easy to clean after use. While this would be a great surface for kneading bread, I haven't done it yet as I have two other surfaces I can use, but it's still handy for placing all of my baking ingredients and has a good spot for baking. for cooling. I'm thinking about getting an induction cooktop or two and getting rid of stovetops forever. In this case, the bamboo countertop stays on all the time and only the oven is used for the three-layer pies. or large turkey or ham I would definitely recommend this item if you use your stop top less than we do.
