Tester works as advertised! I'm replacing old two-pronged outlets with grounded outlets in an old house, and this works great for identifying neutral wires, live wires, and even live wires behind drywall before drilling holes. Sensitivity adjustment was key to meeting my needs. The first tester I bought glowed somewhere near a live wire (6-12 inches) which didn't help much in my application. By reducing the sensitivity of this tester, it could be plugged into a wall outlet to identify the correct wire with light and sound signals. This is important if you're working in an old house with no color-coded wiring.
