Review on Intermatic IG2240 IMSK Intermatic Smart Guard IG2240 IMSK Whole Surge Protector by John Duffield

I purchased this Revain product to install in my home after a power surge destroyed some surge suppression band pass filters last month. Almost everything in your house (except the sofa), including kitchen appliances, has at least one expensive electronic circuit board that is susceptible to surges (both internal and external). Surge protectors with really high capacity tend to pass smaller surges directly to your devices, so it might seem that a mid-range surge protector is the best way to stop most surges before they hit your devices. I particularly liked the user replaceable surge modules used in this product as the homeowner can simply snap in a new one when needed rather than having an electrician replace the entire product every time a power surge occurs. But out of the 3 modules that came with it, one of the three was DOA so I had to lower my rating by one star. Additionally, this is a great product in this niche.
