NO THUMBS UP - Replacement Parts

*These molded neoprene boots are two halves molded together, not one piece. I am assuming they are "Service Grade" and not THE MOLDED NEOPRENE BOOTS THAT ARE MADE IN TWO PIECE. They're not the only ones, so they're going to break my car. I am assuming they are in the 'Service' category, not 'Professional Level'. I suggest using the Moog K150177 bootset. I had some trouble with these Beck Arnley boots on my '98 Corolla. Aside from the thin tip that broke after a few months, the replacement I had to reinstall on September 21, 2015 was totally unsuitable. I just couldn't get most of the boot to slide over the edge of the counter. It seems that the diameter was smaller, and the rubber was cheaper, with no rigidity, so it could not be "pressed". It would only deform. Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to mount it any other way (e.g. dragging it across a large shelf ledge with pliers). Finally I made a funnel shaped tool that will open the left end of the trunk if I insert the entire trunk (including the small side) into the edge of the post and then twist the handlebars to fold the boot a bit more. After most of the shoe went over the edge, I twisted it all the way out. After that I tied the big end to the post and used needle nose pliers to pull the small end to the end of the tie rod to the correct length. Beck Arnely should be ashamed. Never again!
