I was a little disappointed when I moved into my new apartment a few months ago and found that the bathroom needed EIGHT lightbulbs. There were bulbs in the kit of course, but they were cheap, see-through bulbs which I hate - I always seemed to be blinded by that little visible filament. So I went to the store and bought white light bulbs. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds to upgrade to high quality at the time and they burned out quicker than I'd want to spend money on better ones which led to me using some of the clean ones I've made. Back. I ended up biting the bullet and paying more for these LED bulbs, not so much to save energy as to save myself the hassle (and money) of having to keep replacing the bulbs. And I couldn't be happier with the results. They look almost exactly like the white bulbs I had before, but they give off a much better light and look absolutely better than those ugly clear bulbs. They are rated for 20,000 hours of use, which they advertise as over 18s at 3 hours per day. But my bathroom light is on for over 10 hours a day (that's some of the time the dog hangs around while I'm at work, so I'm fun enough to leave the light on for her). But even with 10 hours of use per day these bulbs should last more than 5 years and at this price that's a great deal! Saving electricity is just a great bonus! UPDATE: When I first tried these bulbs I bought a pack of 3. At only $13 these were a steal on LED bulbs but on my budget I still had a hard time moving from the $13 Dollars for just three bulbs, especially since I can get three or four times as many bulbs. for this price in the supermarket. It didn't take long for my old regular lightbulbs to blow out so I threw away the bullet and bought two more 3-packs. And they are amazing. My bathroom is a little brighter now without glare, they have outlasted every other bulb and with the money I saved just to replace them they are already paying for themselves.
