Review on πŸ’¦ VIP50 Wayne Thermoplastic Portable Electric Water Removal Pump for Efficient Water Extraction by Daniel Pesicek

Non-repairable product for rough plumbing

I don't really know why the tabs holding the base to the case are broken. When I contacted the manufacturer I was told there were no replacement parts, I should just buy a new one. You can purchase a new gasket from a third-party manufacturer. Also, over time it loses its ability to give good pressure (I hope you have a laugh) I almost bring it to the limit so that the water does not flow too quickly, but after a few years (2100 out of 10,000 nominal cycles) it has problems with the water supply. If I get a replacement, I get 3/4 hp. . Nylon tape (zip ties) looped around the top of the bell and then looped four zip ties through the holes where the tabs are. You will likely need to replace (or add a second) the "160 EPDM O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Round, Black, 5-1/4" ID, 5-7/16" OD, 3/ O-ring. 32" wide (7 pack). You will need to tighten the zip ties very tightly. The best solution would be a stainless steel plate with a hole the size of the top of the torch and four 1/4" holes at the corners. Then two sticks with 1/4 inch holes on the ends cross the bottom board. The bars and plate form a clamp with four suitably sized bolts of eight each, washers, lock washers, nuts (all stainless steel) which are the vast majority of 1 Engine vibration wears down Thermoplastic ages and weakens in the process Believe it or not plastic absorbs water on what also makes the plastic weaker I considered using pipe rings instead of zip ties but they would probably break Slots for protrusions Cable ties give a little and break Thermoplastics cable ties also suffer from aging and water absorption but they are cheap and light weight to replace (make sure you install the o-ring correctly). The hose will take quite a bit of head. I'm currently using 3/4 Sched 40 PVC and get around t 13' at around 6 gpm. Conclusion: great design, great engine, poor choice of materials. So give the customer service representatives a break. How would you like to answer the phone knowing it's going to be someone far from happy. Take out your anger at poor direction from upper management.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
