I liked that it can be used with LED backlight and no flickering. Fits easily in the dome of our Hunter fan. It can be set to turn the fan off with a timer, there's an intermittent setting to prevent the fan from running at the same speed all the time, and you can set it to turn on when the temperature reaches a certain level. The remote can also dim the lights, and there are three different speeds for the fan. It also has a long range. My husband forgot to change the remote settings to be different from my daughter's remote/fan. She has the exact same remote control in her bedroom. He can sneak into the hallway, around the corner/through the wall, and into her room to turn her fan on and off. Unfortunately it stuck to their fan/receiver and didn't work with the new fan receiver we bought it for until we changed the settings in one of the fan/receiver kits. It says one remote can work with multiple receivers, but that's not our case. So don't forget to change the settings if you have another of these remote controls.
