I installed this camera on an e-bike conversion that had just been completed. I wanted to use my Android phone as a rear view mirror. My e-bike battery has a USB connector, so I used a USB 5V to 12V converter cable to power the camera. that works great! When I turn on the e-bike system, my phone connects to the camera's wifi hotspot and I press the F-Car app, that's it. When I turn off my phone, it reconnects to my home wifi. I find that the camera resolution is more than acceptable for my application. I would say that most e-bikes have cell phones built in, it just seems elementary to me that anyone would want a phone display to replace a sticky mirror. mounted on an already crowded handlebar if it could, and now it can. I'm pretty sure China won't find me or my phone details interesting at all. 🙄I'm an IT professional, so I know that many Android software development environments use a standard set of permissions. Definitely nothing I would call abnormal or disturbing. Also note that many of the negative reviews found here are not even related to this camera kit. For example, this device does not have a red button and does not use or require an SD card. It connects to a cellphone, so obviously there's more storage than you'll ever need. It always makes me sick when competitors post negative reviews to discourage them from selling a higher quality product at a lower price, but that's a common occurrence on sites like Revane.
