I ordered this pillowcase after ordering and returning the 19mm Alaska Bear pillowcase. I've done a lot of research so let me save you some time if I can, the "experts" say 18-19mm is the most durable and good for your skin and hair, that's complete bullshit, it's not more breathable as well . Cotton pillowcase, or maybe less. The 19mm felt like the satin pajamas they sell at Victoria's Secret, a little rough and artificial, it's hard to explain that feeling but just take my word for it. However, this pillowcase is a real find. It's luxurious, soft, and almost feels like a hand on rippling water (wow, that sounds like a sonnet to silk, and I kinda feel it). I sleep better on it, I had terrible sleeping habits after college and this pillowcase makes me want to sleep. A few tips: Buy a lighter color, a more natural color because the red is still fading with each wash and has been once a week for the past 9 months. However, this color is absolutely stunning and regal and is related to Boujee en Moi' but if I had known about the permanent color loss beforehand I would not have bought it as I wonder if the color interacts with my skin every night. . - I wash this in warm water in the sink with baby shampoo, just hanging to dry makes this cover stiff and defeats the point of a $50 pillowcase. Instead, I put it in my fancy dryer with the quick-dry option, set it on super-low heat, and let it run for 20 minutes. All the people they had fall apart, I'm sorry it sucks and I wonder if they squeezed it out because it's serious, no, no. The key to longevity is not to use hot water (limit yourself to lukewarm) and NOT to wring it out. Just squeeze out the water and hang it in a clean and dust-free place, drain the water. I did this over the sink or in my room with a towel on the floor to soak up the water droplets THEN tossed in the dryer. Sounds like a lot of work, but it isn't. It's worth dreaming about on this Meredith Gray Season 15 pillow.
