Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Ramblewood GC2-43N: High Efficiency 2 Burner Gas Cooktop (Natural Gas), ETL Safety Certified - Premium Quality Kitchen Appliance by George Bell

Good looks - bad security system.

This stove has good burners and a good grate. It looks as good as my $600 Samsung. It's also impressively thin (rated at around 2 inches thick). I have drawers downstairs that just need a little work to fit this oven. Here the amazing ends. The rheostat (flame regulator) is not very good. They rotate about 1/4 turn including off, on, down to the minimum flame position. It has a safety feature that shuts off the gas if it doesn't detect a flame (as far as I can tell). It's like in your oven or kettle. It appears to use a thermocouple to sense the heat. Unfortunately, it takes a long time to heat up, requiring an excruciatingly long start-up sequence, and you'll hear the D-cell battery drain with every 400 starts. Clicks required while system heats up. If they replaced the flame controls with a nice, slick, large adjustment set and removed that painful safety system, it would be a five star stove. By the time they sorted out the security system, I probably went with someone else.
