This was exactly what I was looking for but couldn't find it at my local hardware stores. Pros: - True 2700k color. It's hard to find a good 2700k. Everyone else seems to be trying to put bulbs in 4-5k. Beautiful and bright! My packaging said this is a replacement for a 120 watt lightbulb and will glow at 1400 lumens. Excellent wide beam. They claim 110 degrees. Certainly better than the 45 degree beam on PAR38 bulbs. The BR40 is by far the best choice when you want a wide beam to spread out to cover a larger area of light. Cons: - Packaging/Shipping: The lamps were shipped in their own box and were not double boxed or padded in any way. I was shocked that all 4 bulbs tested well and worked fine. But in the future, better packaging would probably be nice. I noticed that all of the lamp lenses were either scratched or stuck. Small details are important and make an impression. The source of the adhesive is the manufacturing process where too much adhesive is applied to seal the lens on the plunger and then smeared across the lens surface during processing before the excess adhesive dries, resulting in irreversible staining. You only notice this on closer inspection, not when the lamps are installed (and switched off or on). I would suggest improving the build quality/process related to this observation. Overall I hope these bulbs last a long time because I really like them. Well, they didn't even last a year. Let's hope their warranty compliance is better! ******* EDIT 11/20/2020: Seller honored their warranty and promptly sent replacement bulbs. ****
