I can smell the lavender as soon as the plastic packaging is off. The soap itself is also wrapped in plastic. The scent is strong, floral and very soothing. It lathers well, made my soft skin and smell heavenly. I keep it hanging on the included pouch to dry after use. You can also use it with the pouch as the material is the same as plastic loofah.
