I have used these (and longer 2000mm rails) to create a computer controlled 'roll mill' which I have used successfully on some wood ends and epoxy sausage boards; all for less than $200. The grinder easily expands so I can use it to level a large table or the top of my workbench. Fantastic value for money, the resulting tool is very accurate and very easy to work with. It is easy to set up, easy to disassemble and store. Linear bearings are so inexpensive that they can be easily replaced when they become contaminated with sawdust or shavings, which has not happened before.
