Review on ๐ŸŽต Audio-Technica AT-VM95EN Dual Moving Magnet Turntable Cartridge Orange: Unleash Your Audio Experience! by Alex Montgomery

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent tracking and sound. Love the low profile design

This cartridge and stylus is the best in its class. I hesitated to buy Ortofon Blue because of the overpriced despite its popularity. Specification for specification, this item is comparable to Ortofon Blue (Naked Elliptical/Moving Magnet). This includes a DOUBLE moving magnet! The smaller compact size is also what drew me to this phone, not the Ortofon. Output volume has been significantly improved over previous Audio Technica series cartridges. Testing this item with a Shure Era III sonic obstacle course test tape showed it passed with flying colors. In fact, it was the first needle and cartridge to pass a Level 5 noise test with no distortion. This means that a null tracking error has occurred. I am really impressed! This is a beautifully designed cartridge and stylus system that will compliment any turntable. There is no need for an oversized and expensive transparent blue, red or bronze head to achieve the perfect sound and look. The low frequencies are well defined, as are the mids. The high frequencies are impressive, and the ability to reproduce the subtle resonances of stringed instruments makes you feel like the player is right in your room. Little or no background noise! Crisp instrument rendition and precise vocals, especially in relation to the hiss that is one of the most demanding vinyl games. After all, it is the first and only pickup system. Once installed you can easily upgrade or switch to 5 other stylus styles including Shavita. Pen. Always align the cartridge with a protractor and correctly set the vertical clamp force to 2 after calibration.

Pros
  • Durable low-resonance polymer body
Cons
  • Long delivery time
