Works, 500 miles driven so far. Just sticking it in wouldn't recommend, although I had my cam and phaser pin cutouts lying around so I had to spend 600 for new cams, the timing tensioners were burned out, the old phasers were completely destroyed. If you just drop them, you won't eliminate the root cause. Long story short I did a timing rebuild on an '06 F-150 5.4 3V and spent about 1200 on all engine parts with an oil pump upgrade before I bought the cams. She arched her back and she purred like a kitten until she got warm and then barely ran. After changing the timing to no avail, I removed the phasers and indeed the driver's side tone ring broke the pins, probably operator error, the passenger's side was fine. I thought I had put enough money into it so I bought it and apart from an obvious loss of low end torque the truck runs great.
