I have purchased similar items in the past (not from this company) and they have not charged my listed 'compatible' device or worked for about 5 minutes. then fizzled out, so I was a little skeptical. So far this item works like a champ and charges my 'compatible' 2nd or 3rd generation iPad (can't remember which one but it has a 30 pin connection) and the best part is, that it is 5 feet long last one I had. was original 3" charge/sync cable. Can't comment on the sync capabilities as I haven't used them that way. If you want a 5 foot 30 pin charge cable it won't disappoint, plus you get 2 for the price of 1, what could be better (besides free)?
