The company is working hard on heating, cooling and air quality

I'm doing a space encapsulation project to bypass DYI and this desiccant is working as hard as me. He works a little over a week and squeezes bucketfuls of water out of the air every day. It has been running 24/7 so far but should be able to drive through once I remove the airtight vapor barrier. I like the size and reliability of the design. The filter is washable, so that's welcome. Tip: Add an air duct to the outlet. This noticeably improves the humidity throughout the room when the airflow…

Good Dehumidifier - Heating, Cooling and Air Quality

1. The fan will turn off when the desired humidity level is reached2. Looks and feels very solid. Compact - helps when you put it in your crawl space4. I've used different brands of dehumidifiers and they've all lasted 2-3 years...I use them in my basement and basement. For some reason, when I put this dehumidifier in place, the smell was much less than before, even though I set it to the same humidity level. One reason might be that this one runs much longer than others I've had (at the same…

Very smart investment

I have a decent house with an area of 1500 m². ft. and a 500 sq. Feet built on a concrete slab. The concrete in these areas, as well as the underground basement, create a significant moisture problem. I have run 2 dehumidifiers in my basement at the same time in the past. Comparing performance, the Sentry impressed me by removing more moisture in less time, all with less frequent use. I will also save power by running 1 on 2 at a time. My mother-in-law lives in our basement and she is…

so far so good for dehumidifier

I bought Amazon Protection with it as there were so many reviews about it breaking after a year or two. I've only had it about 2 months but I hooked it up to my subfloor via the vent and so far it has reduced the humidity from over 90% to 60-70%. I'm going to put some fans in there to see if I can improve the dry air circulation, but that's already a huge improvement and a much lower price than the $3,000-$5,000 professional company was willing to charge , to solve the problem. I don't know why

Well made and practical

I bought this unit mainly because it allows you to add an air duct and a remote control. I have a main basement of about 600 square feet with utility rooms at each end. With this device I can place it in one of the utility rooms and pipe it into the main room. So we can enjoy the basement without the dehumidifier running in it. Although the device is fairly quiet, it gets even quieter when placed in the next room. And if we're going to be away for a long time, we can simply leave the back room…

Cons
  • Approximately

I have a paved surface under my house that needs draining. I bought this unit because it's short (not much underground height) and had a duct option that helps me circulate dry air around a few large obstructions in the room. The device was in a double box (dryer with 4 foam corner brackets in the box, then this box was placed in another box). A hole was punched in the outer box during shipping, but the inner box remained intact and undamaged. The device itself was in perfect condition and…

Cons
  • This worries me

The device was well packaged and arrived in good condition. Seems to be solidly built. Draws in a lot of air and removes a decent amount. The warranty seems better than most handhelds, although I'll pay the shipping if something happens after a year, which can be expensive. I've used 4 60 pint dehumidifiers in the last 7 years, I usually keep 2 in my basement at a time. I've had many different brands and they all seem like garbage, although my basement isn't very humid, and as far as units that

Cons
  • Appearance

Despite initial problems, I consider the Alorair H55 (Blue) Sentinel dehumidifier to be one of the best products on the market today because of its performance. Why do I like this desiccant so much? To be honest, my previous experience with the entire dehumidifier industry has not been a happy one. In the last 10 years I have bought (and received under warranty) more than 8 dehumidifiers. I have a relatively small enclosed crawl space (1400 SF) that I have been dehumidifying using 35 liter per…
