We installed the Delta 1400 series in 2008 when we first moved in. The handle came off after a good life. This grip is nice and tight and works like a champ! I suggest putting some lube on the set screw, especially if you have hard water like we do. The old one was very difficult to remove because of the deposits.

I needed a DELTA faucet handle and this is it. Identical to the original. The product arrived well packaged and on time. It's perfect for the bath/shower. I had to use my own Allen key. Revain is about $2 cheaper than HomeDepot or the DELTA website so the price/buy was good. Many products now contain a "wrench", do I want DELTA too?

I waited 8 days for a 3 day delivery only to find, like so many others, this set screw was missing. It's not there, as someone wrote "in a pen", it just doesn't exist. After waiting so long I still can't complete my shower repair. Aside from shipping and a missing part, this is the correct pen, but since I can't install it, I'm not sure. Dissatisfied.

Like many others, I had a frozen set screw in the original grip. To remove the handle I went to the local hardware store but couldn't find just the handle. I am very thankful to Revain that I have it and it was delivered in just a few days. The handle has been redesigned to allow water that gets on the set screw to drain. So I hope this doesn't happen again!

Leaky shower works like new with this handle and a new $50 cartridge. Not the easiest repair when the cartridge has rusted and melted in the device, and the handle has melted due to very hard water on the cartridge. But the plumber said $500 so 4 hours of work was worth it. Make sure you attempt to remove the old pen without damaging the cartridge before ordering unless you are willing to undertake a major repair.

Delta screwed up the original design. Most reviews say the same thing: the set screw will corrode and you will have to cut or drill the screw to remove the old knob. A water drain was added to the new model, but I still wouldn't trust it. Take some anti-seize (small packets are available at auto parts stores) or silicone grease and apply to the set screw before installing. Be generous in the amount you use as there is no harm in having more. No more stuck set screws.

So I'll start with the most common complaints about this product. That the set screw faces up and will corrode when you need to replace the valve, forcing you to cut the handle off. Well I tried two plastic handles on this faucet and they are terrible. So I ordered it anyway because I knew I could fix the corrosion problem. The pen is an exact replica of the original Delta pen. Delighted in the fact that it arrived safe and sound in a small box. However, in the box, the pen was in a plastic bag with a hole punched in it. And the set screw to attach the handle was missing.
