Review on AlorAir Commercial Dehumidifier Basements Industry by Adrienne Holmes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just fitted - looks good and very well packaged - caught fire immediately.

I have a paved surface under my house that needs draining. I bought this unit because it's short (not much underground height) and had a duct option that helps me circulate dry air around a few large obstructions in the room. The device was in a double box (dryer with 4 foam corner brackets in the box, then this box was placed in another box). A hole was punched in the outer box during shipping, but the inner box remained intact and undamaged. The device itself was in perfect condition and started immediately. The funnel piece to which the air duct is attached (is not required) was interesting. I expected the channel to go over the plastic funnel and be secured with a tie. Instead, you should use an expandable duct with a coil of wire, and then the duct is bolted INSIDE the funnel portion. It attached well (luckily I had the right air duct) and worked well. Here is the channel kit I bought and would order again: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WNK7N7F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The device looked very industrial and was good processed. I opened it and took a quick look around. The components were well made and the electrical connections were solid. The filter can be easily removed and installed after cleaning. The controls were intuitive. I also bought an optional remote control (on the 25" cable that comes with the unit) and am happy with it (allows me to check humidity levels and change settings without having to crawl on my stomach to to get under the house). some noise (the fan blows a lot of air, that's to be expected) but it was quieter than I expected and I was happy with the sound (can't hear it at home even 2-3 feet above the unit (It was underground just below the floor I was standing on).
