Not good for the price

This unit can't get the humidity below 60 in my basement. Has been running continuously for 3 days now. I had a Sanidry Sedona that went down to 40 in just a few hours. I may have to come back with Sanidry.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Beautiful compact Dehu, very well built

This is a great Dehu that gives you the opportunity to use it in both regular places and tight spaces like basements or small enclosed spaces. Great drain line design as it is screwed to ensure it doesn't fall out. High-quality processing and low weight. We use this in all of our flood relief efforts.

  • Fingers crossed

Great dryer!

I have a restoration company and bought this dehumidifier for use in the basement because of its size. I have been pleasantly surprised at the number of pints per day it removes and will use it for all projects. The purge line is probably the strongest connection I've ever seen on a dehumidifier. I highly recommend this product and will buy more in the future!

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Exorbitant piggy bank

Power in a small package

From my job, I am very familiar with all types of air dryers in structure drying. I was immediately struck by how small this device was when it arrived. Setup is as easy as it gets: install the drain hose for my application and press the power button, set the desired humidity level and you're done! Love the black design, it's quiet, the quality is great and I'm checking my other dehumidifier listing for its compact size and pint rating!

Pros
  • Very good price-performance ratio
Cons
  • I won't say anything about that

Confound! No WiFi function.

Haven't decided yet whether to use it or return it. This is a Chinese made device which is misleading on several counts, one of the biggest being that the OEM/Reseller shows WiFi controlled features that are totally nonexistent. The device does not have an Energy Star rating compared to other models and the only real advantage is the built-in pump. But with that said, I would consider other energy rated and full house options. The rest is yet to come and I will update this review.

Pros
  • Always loved
Cons
  • Only available in white

WiFi doesn't work. On this model

The WiFi app is a big hit for the dehumidifier. Check out reviews on the App Store to learn more about the app's interface. Doesn't work or connect. Very disappointed. Update: The company now says the WiFi tag is wrong. It even has a WiFi indicator. (Although you can get a partial connect using your phone and the password provided). They know it doesn't work and they gave me some filters! I asked for an extra remote control so I didn't have to crawl under the house and they said NO! What a…

Water pump failed in 5 days

The old cheap basement dehumidifier died after 3 years so I figured the commercial one would last longer. Gravity feed is not needed so I ordered with a drain pump. Bought commercially. more expensive but reviews on a few different sites looked good and a 5 year guarantee. Easy to set up but I had trouble with the hose attachment and compression fitting. As soon as I plugged it in it started and worked fine for 5 days. This then caused GFCI and water all over the floor. Powered back on and got…

  • Absolutely amazing!

Great car good customer service

After much research into basement dehumidifiers Alorair seems to have become one of the top manufacturers. I have a medium sized crawl space, but the fairly small entry hatch limited how big a car I could buy. This one is too small for my square footage, but it was the only one that fit through the 13 inch tall hatch. I tried it and it does its job perfectly. wet summer season so I won't know what it can really do until next year. However, over the course of the day it lowered the humidity…
