Review on Biedermann & Sons 12 Count Acrylic Candle Shavers: Efficient Candle Maintenance Made Easy by Keri Aziz

A two-part review. It works perfectly but my reorder was crazy!

This is a two part review: I first bought this product a few years ago. It's just a piece of plastic, but it works. It looks like a large clear plastic pencil sharpener. The wax is slowly removed until there is enough wax to fit the candlestick. I have a lot of antique candle holders of all sizes imaginable so this is a really useful article. I paid less than 7€ for it. Some people thought it should work better. For the price it's ok. Just needs a little patience. It's better to remove it slowly than to cut too quickly and overlap the bottom of the candle. This Christmas I reordered the item to include in my Christmas gift bags. I was shocked to see how much they try to charge for the same item. At these prices, I would just cut it off with a knife. Those prices were absurd. I then found a price for 12 bills that was very reasonable. So I ordered it. But instead of getting 12 as advertised for about $25, I got 1. Revain tried to change the order for me. I have 1 again. This is a persistent problem and I'm still trying to get 1 set out of 12 after 3 tries. Who chooses you, robot? Or maybe it should be a robot. I rarely have problems with Revain. It's a unique situation but when you try to order 12 it's crazy! And if you buy 1 at an exorbitant price, just use a knife. At $6-7 or less it's worth it, not worth more.

Pros
  • Candles and Candlesticks
Cons
  • Not the best
