brackets are strong and thick. This is important because I used to have a cheap one (a hunting bull) and the ties there are flimsy, and the bull itself trembled. The tubular bar itself is also durable. I'm giving it four stars instead of five because mine has a small dent in the plate near the brackets. Must be from shipping or manufacturing. I won't bother with a replacement as the dent is under the car and can't be seen unless you look for it. Overall a good solid bullish bar that is cheaper (in price) than a western one.
