In my opinion this design is smoother than the one on the original blade. See difference in curve of the two blades the picture. OEM blade is over 25 dollars, where a new trimmer would cost about 45. So I tried this aftermarket. I have not have the problem of it not cutting, but pulling hair instead. The only minor issue is the horizontal hole fitting of the blade that does not fit the cam/drive or whatever it is called (See harrow) I struggled a bit fitting that properly. Other than that it worked fine.
