No matter what I put in these bags, they won't leak or open. They open and close really easily which is a good thing because it means my kids can use them and I don't have to worry about anything falling out. I put fruits, veggies, sandwiches and all kinds of snacks in these pouches and they work great. I don't put them in the dishwasher. I tried, but when they were done they wouldn't stay open and the heat warped a few of the bags. When it comes to washing your hands, it's very simple. I usually just add some soap and water to the inside of the bag, seal and shake. I've found this helps when using them on sandwiches because they get rid of any crumbs that might get stuck in the corners. When it comes to greasy shavings, I usually have to use a soapy sponge and scrape off the grease. Drying is also very easy. I love these bags and love that they are reusable.
