Bought this blender for my son. Lately he's interested in baking cakes, calzones and cheesecake. He is 12 years old and loves this blender very much. Baking is now much more fun and easier. We used to mix everything by hand or with this old little electric blender that I inherited from my mom, so this blender is definitely an improvement in our kitchen. It takes up quite a bit of space but in hindsight we could have used less but I liked the reviews and it was a good price. Maybe someday we'll decide on a three tier cake! The only minor complaint I have, which I think applies to most blenders, is that sometimes the flour gets stuck on the sides while blending and we have to spoon it in. Otherwise I am very happy with our purchase. Even my husband has been involved in cooking lately thanks to this blender. giggle
