I bought this camera before we went on holiday to the Caribbean. I knew we would be doing a lot of watersports and the beaches and scenery are beautiful as they are, I didn't want to give up photography because my electronics weren't waterproof. It was a good decision to buy this camera. . The price is great - it's not very expensive and unless you're a professional photographer you really don't need to spend hundreds on an underwater camera that doesn't get used very often. This camera is very easy to use and we were able to figure it out without even reading the instructions. This is a simple point and shoot camera that worked great for my purposes. It takes standard AA batteries, so you don't have to think about charging special camera batteries unless you're using standard rechargeable batteries. Photos come out pretty sharp considering the quality of the camera. Some of them were blurry as there can be a delay between pressing the button and the camera actually taking the picture. So maybe I should have picked a different model. I've used it snorkeling and have taken some beautiful underwater shots of fish and coral reefs. Not quite competitive material but good enough for me.
