This collar helped us a lot in training our Boston Terrier. He has resource protection issues and bites his pug brother's face. Pros: * The remote's LCD screen is HUGE compared to other brands! And compared to previous versions of this collar from the same brand. Great presentation, easy to understand. * The buttons on the remote control are labeled with pictures so you can quickly know which button is vibrate mode, beep mode or shock mode. * There is a backlit button! Press it on the remote and the dog's collar will light up!* The instruction manual is easy to understand.* All the buttons on the remote are easy and intuitive to use.* Shock mode isn't as scary as some might think it sounds. We hardly ever use this mode, but we tested the shock levels on our own palms to see how it feels and we were able to handle a shock level of 50 out of 99. It's like static from a fluffy sweater and like pinpricks when your hand falls asleep. It made us laugh so much to review it. If you really love your dog, you should test shock mode on your own hand first! 😉* AMAZING LONGEVITY! We almost never had to charge it in weeks and weeks!* Incredible value!* Can be used as a pair for two dogs on one remote.* Comes with a pair of long and short prongs and matching silicone needle covers. Cons (barely): * The collar needs to be very snug around your dog's neck for the dog to even feel the discharge mode. That's basically how these things work, so I can't say it's bad. Just be prepared for it. However, we don't use it for shock mode because the squeak and vibrate modes startle our dog so much that he immediately stops everything he's doing.* Only keep this in mind if you intend to use this product specifically for shock mode, lay down Put the collar on the dog so tightly that he is constantly being choked and stabbed.* Assembling the strap in the collar component was confusing. Find a gap/slit in the collar component to thread the strap underneath/through. The instructions for this step could be clearer in the manual. I would give this product more than 5 stars if I could! I will update my review if anything changes.
