Buffer options are decent File/shape too coarse

If you ever try this buffer with just the discount basement option from your local big box or pharmacy you'll probably be like me and ooooh ahhh see how your nail plate shines like a mirror. It is quite comfortable to hold in hand, it is quite ergonomic, but it wears out too quickly. The day I first bought it, the price was affordable, especially compared to super cheap ones. But since it was showing signs of wear after 3-4 uses I went back to get another 2 pack and was shocked to see how much it had gone up in price. I like it because it's justifiably appreciated for the price, but for the hesitation, I understand you can't ogle the Pro version for not much more money. Side #1, the sand you actually use to file/shape the nail is the most concerning. The other 3 sides can be used on any natural nail, but if you have thin, brittle or just sensitive nails, the grain is too coarse; I really messed up my tips and might as well go down to the shop and get my husband's sandpaper. Since I only need 3 sides of this thing I went back to the drawing board. I figured it was because I was using proper filing technique, Γ  la every Emory board (never file back and forth, just move gently in one direction, I wouldn't run into any problems). I was wrong.
