I have an F350 and am suffering from air stagnation in the cooling system. I do my own work but cannot use backyard solutions to remove trapped air from the system. Tilting my truck and revving the engine turned out to work, but the cabin heat loss always returned after a few hundred miles. A few weeks ago it was 20 degrees and my truck heater wouldn't heat up so I broke down and ordered this coolant vacuum tool. Although the instructions said to drain the system before starting the process, I had fresh coolant and wanted to try it as is. After starting the process it was obvious that I had a lot of air in the system. The air bubbles are ejected much faster than the coolant can move, immediately deflating the system. Once the gauge hit 24psi, it wouldn't go any higher. I let it sit for 5 minutes with the air compressor off and the pressure didn't drop so there were no leaks. I then used a large 5 gallon bucket of antifreeze solution (highly recommend) and opened the valve. It soaked up two full gallons of antifreeze added to the antifreeze I already had in the system. Worked great. I recommend anyone doing their own work there to get this tool, even if you don't have any issues with trapped air, just to check for leaks and ease of filling.
