After initial application on animal, very little is needed for additional treatments. Flies appeared confused at first upon first application of ointment. They try to hang around and attempt to return to the area of attack, but then begin to disperse away from the attacked area once they notice the presence of the magic formula from the ointment on the familiar area they were attacking before. Worked within seconds to under at least two minutes on my dog. Her ears and her hang out area is now a fly free zone. Ears are noticeably healing and hair is regrowing. Wish I had known about this product a long time ago. Happy with purchase. Will consider buying again as necessary.
