Works great to keep flys and gnat off when nothing else will

I use this for my horses on areas where normal fly spray is not enough - especially the legs and belly. I live in Virginia and the gnat and biting flies are terrible in the summer, even the most expensive fly spray doesn't keep them away and the horses get eaten alive. Swat is the only thing that reliably keeps them away, even if it makes kind of a mess. It's also good on wounds for keeping flies and other insects off. I highly recommend this product if other fly control measures are not working

Pros
  • Easy to apply, works great. Great price. Saves my horse from getting eaten alive by flies
Cons
  • Package came damaged, cream was all over the place. But the product is good itself. Works well.

This product works great for fly control around an injury or sore

I love the Swat product. It works great to keep flies away from any injuries or sores on your animal. Also, works great a one long swipe down the middle of the horse's head works for fly protection especially around their eyes and nose.Horses do not like being sprayed, at least my horse doesn't like to be sprayed. The pricing on this product is great!Again, I love this Swat fly control product and you will too.

Pros
  • Safe to use on horses, ponies, and dogs
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for use on animals that are immunocompromised

Good product, but. in my review

This is a very good product and Revain has a good price, but when i received the package the lid was off of the container and swat was all over inside. Very disappointing Revain.

Pros
  • USE ON horses, ponies and dogs
Cons
  • It may not be suitable for use on animals with open wounds or cuts

Swat is great! Works wonders on horses sensitive to biting insects. Compared to feed stores is much cheaper from Revain. But Revain shipping not best way to purchase it. 2 jars shipped were sideways. Maybe packaging to keep the Swat upright? And check seals before shipping?

Pros
  • Wish the pink was still available at the same price
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for horses or dogs with respiratory conditions

Easier to get on the animals than spray.

My horses and pot belly pigs head for the hills when they think they will be sprayed with fly repellant. With the ointment, I could just rub it on the pig's nose and ears where the flies were attacking, and the horses let me rub in on their legs without being afraid of spray. It stays put, doesn't get runny which was a concern around the face area.

Pros
  • Creates a barrier against insects, preventing them from biting through the skin
Cons
  • The product may have a greasy residue that is unpleasant to the touch

Need to tape the jars

The product is fantastic. How it arrives at my home is less than satisfactory. I order several jars at once - have done so twice now. Each time, there is no inserted material, so the jars just bounce around until they arrive at my address. Each time, one of them has opened up and the contents have leaked into the box. You either need to have the jars taped shut or put some material in the box so the jars don't just loosely bounce around. I figured it was a fluke the first time until I got the…

Pros
  • Has a pleasant scent that is not overpowering
Cons
  • The product may not be effective in heavily populated urban areas

SWAT - 1, Flies - 0

This stuff is great! I don't know how I have had horses for this long and have never discovered this. The flies have been merciless this year and my horses were getting eaten alive by them. I put this around their ears and eyes and on their chest. I also use fly spray, but this seems to make the biggest difference in keeping the flies away. It is somewhat annoying having to put something on by hand like this, but the relief that the horses get makes it worth it. It also seems to be effective…

Pros
  • It helped but I had to reapply more often than I thought I would. The dogs hate it.
Cons
  • The product may require frequent reapplication in high-fly infested areas

Farm Dogs Ears CAN Survive Armies of FLIES!

We put this on our farm dog's ears once a day. Twice a day during the biting fly season. We have cattle pens around our place and flies galore (if you are a frog). This stuff works better than I believed.

Pros
  • Yes
Cons
  • The product may be easily licked off by animals during application

SWAT really works! on contact.

Product delivered on or before scheduled time. Secure packaging. Great product. It does what is says it will do. Works on contact. After initial application on animal, very little is needed for additional treatments. Flies appeared confused at first upon first application of ointment. They try to hang around and attempt to return to the area of attack, but then begin to disperse away from the attacked area once they notice the presence of the magic formula from the ointment on the familiar area

Pros
  • Usually works really well, but it was all melted & not usable
Cons
  • The application process may be messy and unpleasant

Works wonderfully! for my opinion

My dog was getting eaten alive by flies it’s been 2 days using SWAT and he already is healing!I also used it on my pony’s ears and chest with the same results. It gave instant relief. Very happy I purchased.

Pros
  • Helps to reduce stomping, twitching, and other behavioral issues caused by fly irritation
Cons
  • The product may cause skin irritation if it comes into contact with human skin

fast protection good for me

Gnats in my mare's ears were driving her nuts. She rubbed through 3 full ear coverage fly masks until I realized what was causing the problem. Within 3 days of "swat- ing" her inner ears things were better.

Pros
  • Fly & Mosquito Control
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for dogs with short hair

Secure packaging: my feedback

Product great but needs packaging to have lid more secure. 2 orders have been open and what a mess it’s delivered in bag with no security.

Pros
  • The clear formula does not stain or discolor coats
Cons
  • The product may not be effective in controlling fly populations during peak fly seasons

Product was open when I opened

This is a great product so I ordered 2 jars. One of the jars was open and over half of it had spilled into the package and onto the other jar as well. What a mess and since it is a very strong effective fly ointment it was extremely difficult and sticky to clean up. No issues with the product though. It works.

Pros
  • Use this product on my 2 Akita’s so the flies want bite. Very good product happy I bought it
Cons
  • It may not be effective for all fly species

Flies Hate it —- I LOVE IT

The flies HATE this stuff but I LOVE IT. I have two large dogs and one of my dogs have issues with flying eating the tips of his ears. I have tried different product and found this one to be excellent. Those flies want come near his ears. I use a glove to apply this product, since it is not meant to smell good the scent will stay on your hands after several washes. But that is good, it also means it will stay with Max (my dog) much longer.

Pros
  • REPELS house flies, stable flies, face and horn flies
Cons
  • The product may cause skin irritation on the genitals of male animals

Our husky always has a problem during the summer months with flies bothering her ears. We have tried many things to try and keep the flies away and avoid her getting sores. i came across this and decided after reading several good reviews we would give it a try. The price was great. This is a great product. It really helped keep the flies off her ears and head. And she had previous sores before using this and this product helped to aid the healing process for her. I would definitely recommend…

Pros
  • B00061MSIA
Cons
  • The product may attract other non-beneficial insects

Great Fly Ointment - my new review

I've used swat for years on my horses and it is AMAZING. Quick tip: wipe your hands after using it because if it gets on your clothes it is very hard to come off. It's expensive but it is worth it!

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • It may not be effective for all horse breeds

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well on my review.

No clue why or how we got black horse flies in the backyard but we did. They started to go ham at my dogs ears like my babies are missing a top chunk. They started going at their paws to and other horse fly sprays didnt do much. My dogs hated sprays, this smells a bit but works good just thick gunky feel.

Pros
  • A little product goes a long way, making it cost-effective
Cons
  • The product may not be suitable for use on animals with compromised kidney or liver function

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super effective on my review.

Biting stable flies were making blood run down one horses white front "ankles". This stopped them about 36 hours. Nothing else lasts even 18 hours .

Pros
  • Waterproof and sweat-resistant for reliable all-day protection
Cons
  • The product may cause eye irritation if it accidentally comes into contact with the eyes

My Oder was open and all over the interior of the oackay, so I contacted the people and they asked to send the damage one back and resend me a new one . the product it self it’s very good and will Dede Oder more if they start sending them in a different package

Pros
  • Has been tested and recommended by veterinarians for safe and effective use
Cons
  • The product may not be effective in controlling fly populations in densely populated areas

Essential for the summer

Can't keep a fly mask on. so I rub this around the eyes and in the ears, belly and legs. It works! Always in my grooming bag in bug season.

Pros
  • Horses loved the scent and the comfort after I applied it to them.
Cons
  • The product may attract dirt and debris to the application area
