This stuff is great! I don't know how I have had horses for this long and have never discovered this. The flies have been merciless this year and my horses were getting eaten alive by them. I put this around their ears and eyes and on their chest. I also use fly spray, but this seems to make the biggest difference in keeping the flies away. It is somewhat annoying having to put something on by hand like this, but the relief that the horses get makes it worth it. It also seems to be effective for longer than the fly sprays so that is a definite bonus. I do wish that the container was actually sealed so that it couldn't come open during shipping, but the other items that shipped with it weren't anything that could be damaged by the ointment so it wasn't a huge deal and it is thick enough that not much came out of the container.
